What Verify does

Trust infrastructure for Bangladeshi commerce

Six connected capabilities make it easy to find real businesses and hard for fake ones to survive.

Search & Directory

Browse and search Bangladeshi businesses by name, category, division or city — with clean, consistent listing pages for every company and brand.

Verified Badges

Businesses can request verification by submitting trade licence and identity documents. Approved businesses earn a trust badge backed by a certificate number.

Authentic Reviews

Only real Midman accounts can review a business — every review is tied to one existing user_id, so there are no throwaway accounts or bots.

Fraud Reports

Consumers can report scams, counterfeit goods and misleading information with supporting evidence, feeding a structured review workflow.

Business Claims

Owners can claim an existing listing by proving ownership. Once approved, they control their business profile on the directory.

Built for Bangladesh

Division and city-aware listings, Bangla-friendly content structure and reporting categories tailored to local fraud patterns.

Account architecture

Your Midman account is your Verify account

verify.midman.bd deliberately has no registration system. Identity comes from the platform you already trust.

midman.bd accountVerifiedreview · report · claim · verify

When you review a business, report a scam or claim a listing, Verify records your existing Midman user_id alongside the action. Your password and credentials never leave midman.bd — Verify cannot see them and never stores them.

One account, two platforms

verify.midman.bd has no registration system of its own. Every reviewer, reporter and claimer is identified by their existing Midman user_id from midman.bd.

Verify data stays separate

All Verify application data lives in a dedicated Turso database. The existing Midman database is never modified or duplicated.

Files live in R2, not the DB

Logos, covers and sensitive documents are stored in Cloudflare R2. The database only records lightweight object keys.

Credentials never cross over

Verify stores zero passwords, tokens or session records. Identity is resolved through a single adapter seam at request time.

Delivery plan

Foundation first, features next

This release ships the architecture — no half-built pages, no fake data. Each phase unlocks the next.

Phase 1Verified

Foundation (this release)

  • Next.js 16 + TypeScript + Tailwind project
  • Turso schema for all Verify entities
  • R2 upload architecture & conventions
  • Auth adapter seam for Midman accounts
  • Design system & reusable components
Phase 2Pending review

Authentication bridge

  • Inspect the existing Midman auth system
  • Implement the concrete AuthAdapter
  • Detect Midman sessions across the subdomain
Phase 3Pending review

Directory & verification

  • Public business search & profile pages
  • Review and report submission flows
  • Verification request & claim review workflows

For the Midman team: the concrete authentication questions we need answered to complete Phase 2 are documented in docs/AUTH_INTEGRATION.md in the repository. Nothing on midman.bd needs to change until then.
